DAY 1In the afternoon arrival in Perugia, check-in and accommodation in the reserved room. Dinner in a typical Umbrian restaurant in Perugia centre. Overnight stay.
DAY 2The day begins with a hearty breakfast in the Castle-Hotel and continues with a guided visit of Perugia: this city has always been considered a masterpiece of hydraulic engineering and the "Etruscan Well" is a wonderful example thereof. The morning ends with an aperitif on a terrace with views over the Perugia countryside and a lunch in a tavern in the city centre which offers typical Umbrian dishes. At the end, the visit continues to “Perugina Chocolate House”, that is situated just a few kilometres from Perugia centre and is a truly interesting place to visit, not only for chocolate lovers, but also for all those interested in the evolution of Italian traditions from the early 20th century till today. The tour departs from the Historical Chocolate Museum, where visitors can retrace Perugina history. Then the visit continues to the factory where all the stages of the creation of the so-called “food of the Gods” will be explained and at the end of the tour, you will enjoy a delicious tasting which will make the visit unforgettably sweet. The evening is dedicated to a "Pizza Party", where you will homemade pizza. Overnight stay.
DAY 3Breakfast and morning dedicated to discovering the principal historic Perugia Palaces. The first tour stop is the “Home Museum Palazzo Sorbello”, dating back to the 16th century. The entrance to the building is unique in Perugia and one of the few existing in Italy. Inside the building you can find wooden floors, collections of Chinese porcelain of the Qianlong period (1775) and other important historical artefacts. The tour continues with the visit to the “House Museum Palazzo Doddi”, that rises in the heart of Perugia. The palace was built in the sixteenth century and you can admire the ground-floor drawing room with its wooden-beam ceiling, the seventeenth-century great hall, the ancient structures of the former late-Renaissance building and the remains of the medieval houses. Lunch in a country villa on the hills right next to Perugia. In the afternoon, delicious wine tasting in the cloister of the Castle-Hotel, with selection of local salumi and cheeses. The day ends with a dinner at a restaurant with a menu consisting of typical local dishes and wines exclusively prepared with fresh, locally produced ingredients. Overnight stay.
DAY 4Breakfast and check-out.
